Prospective Interns

Feedback

The interns performed a tremendous amount of work during the internship and familiarized themselves with the new concepts with ease. This internship was also a rewarding experience for supervisors. The internship students and their supervisors often discussed plans and exchanged ideas for non-standard analyses. We really hope that the program benefited the internship students by giving them the extra experience necessary to start practising statistics confidently. Both interns were hired as professional biostatisticians with PMH/OCI starting January 2011.

I can honestly say that the past eight months have been extremely productive, further honing my programming skills and knowledge of statistics, all the while exposing me to a variety of new statistical methods and research projects in cancer.

The intensive, interdisciplinary collaborative research environment in PMH provides the best practice for a beginner pursuing a career in Biostatistics.

I feel so rewarded that I could apply my knowledge learned from school into the real world. The internship experience is a good transition for me from school to a company.
